ORP Chairman DeWine, US Senate Candidates Address Executive Committee


 On Thursday, June 23rd, Ohio Republican Party Chairman Kevin DeWine addressed the
Warren County Republican Party Executive Committee during the 2nd
Quarter Meeting.  Chairman DeWine highlighted the state party's efforts to
raise awareness about the Ohio Healthcare Freedom Amendment, and picked up
petitions containing over 2,000 signatures to get the amendment on the
November ballot.  He further discussed Warren County's role as we head toward
the 2012 presidential election, including a focus on registering voters,
educating voters, and ultimately getting our voters to the polls on Election Day.

The Executive Committee also heard from several candidates that are running in
the upcoming 2012 Republican Primary.  U.S. Senate candidates Eric LaMont Gregory
and Kevin Coughlin personally addressed the audience, while Treasurer
of State Josh Mandel, who had a previous commitment, sent a letter which was
read by Central Committee Chairman Jeff Monroe.  Additionally, Tenth District
Court of Appeals judge and Ohio Supreme Court candidate Judith French also
addressed the Executive Committee in person.  We expect additional candidates
for statewide office will be visiting Warren County over the upcoming months
to address our Executive Committee regarding their respective candidacies.
