As of this writing, there are over 26 million confirmed cases of the flu in the United States,
and over 16,000 deaths associated with the virus, and no vaccine in sight,
In response to information, paragraph (4) four, of this article, health officials now admit that there
have been coronavirus deaths in the US. What they are not saying is whether any of the deaths from the
coronavirus in the US occurred before the outbreak in China was discovered in the last week of December 2019.
It should be understood that the coronavirus, unlike the 2019/2020 flu virus, is not seasonal or annual,
and its spread will not slow as winter fades and warmer weather arrives.

By now it is universally understood that a possible vaccine for the novel coronavirus is a distant hope, at best.
Some experts have suggested anywhere from 12 to 18 months, but these are just notions and vague understandings about how long it took to develop other vaccines that were developed relatively quickly. But in final analysis, we just do not know, and no bi-partisan political compromise will get us the answers we need to develop an effective vaccine, if, in fact, a vaccine can be developed, given our current understanding of the issues involved.
In medicine, a scientific (evidence-based) approach begins with a working assumption or hypothesis. It must be understood that the working assumptions are an outline, a list as it were, of the things that we will have to understand and the tests that will have to be run to gain an understanding of the things we must come to understand. As it stands today, it is a long list and will require thousands of health care workers and allied health scientists to accomplish a satisfactory conclusion to this problem, that is, the production of a safe and effective vaccine for the novel coronavirus. If, in fact, we are dealing with one disease and not several related diseases.
You do not move in science without a thorough review of the medical and scientific literature, as new understandings are developed at a rather hefty pace. That literature is conditioned by the ranking of the confidence that can be placed in it, and we have the National Institute of Health and other august bodies for seeing the wisdom of instituting such a sterling, beneficial and practical system.
We are confronted with a layer cake of sorts, because the novel coronavirus is presenting when we already have a rather virulent type of Influenza A, and a rather virulent type of Influenza B in circulation. Both of these types of Influenza has and continues to infect 10s of millions, and kill 10s of thousands.
We need to know, if these viruses are interacting with each other and if either of them or both can
interact (exchange nucleic acid) with each other, or with the novel coronavirus, and if so, how?
And that any vaccine developed for the novel coronavirus must not interact negatively
with the vaccines already being given to treat the Influenza viruses.
A review of the medical literature, and past experience, tells us that these are rational and urgent concerns.
The idea that the Congress of the United States in its haste to be seen to be doing something, is willing to propose legislation that does not include a period for public comment, is a formula for disaster.
Especially, when 'the companies' are telling our legislators, 'we know how to do this, just give us the money'.
And, Pelosi and McConnell are so maladroit, they do not see the inherent dangers involved.

The Wuhan Novel Coronavirus, pictured above, is one of a rather large family of viruses which can attack the respiratory system within the human population. These viruses result in illnesses which include the so-called common cold, the flu, and encompass a variety of more debilitating diseases, such as, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, SARS, and the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, MERS, among many many others.
As in the current circumstance, problems arise when a person is infected by more than one of the large family of flu-like, respiratory system infecting coronaviruses at the same time, which often happens. Under these conditions, the infected cells through the process of reassortment exchange genetic material and can give rise to a new variant of the coronavirus. This is, in part, an explanation for the nearly 16,000 deaths from flu-like, yet resistant to normal flu medications, illnesses that have infected in excess of 26 million people in the United States alone, recently.
The coronavirus of present concern, known as Wuhan Novel Coronavirus, 2019-nCoV, had not been identified in humans, previously. And, as will become evident, the preceding description is one of only a few facts about the current coronavirus outbreak, which can be stated with a high degree of confidence. Including, whether or not Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, is the actual source, ground zero, of the current coronavirus outbreak.
With an understanding of the reassortment, new coronavirus production process, in an individual simultaneously infected with two or more types of flu-like disease producing coronaviruses, it ought to be understood that is just as likely that a person from the United States; American, Chinese or otherwise, with a coronavirus infection, travelled to China where they acquired a second coronavirus infection and then returned to the United States, as it is that a person from China with a coronavirus infection, then travelled to the United States where they acquired a second coronavirus infection, and then returned to China. What is undeniable, is that both vaccine resistant diseases are circulating in China and the United States.
As of 22 February 2020, US health officials admit that the same coronavirus spreading in China is spreading in the US, and that some of the flu deaths in the US are attributable to the coronavirus, actually.
The best evidence for the truth of one or the other of these alternatives, is the fact that now, even in China there are confirmed cases of human-to-human transmission of the new coronavirus, with no known vaccine available, just as the cases of human-to-human transmission in the United States are as yet vaccine resistant. The difference is that the virus in the United States has been circulating for a longer period of time, which indicates that the novel form first appeared in the United States several months before it appeared on mainland China.
The important and inescapable fact is that a new variant of the coronavirus exists, because the genomes of two or more coronaviruses merged, through the process of reassortment, from mixture and simultaneous infection of the same human host cells.
One of the ingredients that makes it possible to convey information, is the use of unequivocal terminology, that is, words used to describe a particular person, place or thing that are singularly unique to that person, place or thing, and other things to be described have their own singularly unique words associated with them.
We may describe a particular fruit as an apple, and more specifically by the variety of the apple e.g., Fuji, Honeycrisp, Gala or Red Delicious. Likewise, the upper-respiratory illnesses and diseases associated with coronaviruses, are described as the common cold, SARS, MERS and Wuhan Novel Coronavirus.
Zoonotic diseases are caused by harmful organisms, viruses, bacteria, fungi or parasites which can be transferred from animals to people and cause illness and disease in the affected human population. In fact, more than six out of every 10 known infectious diseases in the entire human population, are spread from animals. And, significant to our understanding of the current coronavirus pandemic, 75%, that is, 3 out of every 4 new infectious diseases in the human population originate in the animal kingdom.
The importance of this statement is profound.
The question then becomes, how do harmful organisms, such as, viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites spread between animals and human populations?
There are five principal means of animal-to-human disease transmission, namely, direct contact, indirect contact, vector-borne, food-borne, and deliberate human action, respectively.
The fifth identified means of transmission of zoonotic organisms from animals to people, deliberate human action, although not included in standard epidemiology textbooks customarily, is nonetheless an important and increasingly significant means of animal-to-human disease transmission, as even a cursory review of 20th Century medical literature attests to.

The daily events at institutions of higher learning may be brought into a state of clamour, that is, a vehement expression of collective outrage, by the knowledge that one of their colleagues, now a member of the Congress of the United States, suborned students to perjure themselves to cover up his personal involvement in a years-long sex abuse scandal. While at another university, the son of a prime minister dons blackface to mock, exhibit his high level of racial resentment towards ancient cultures. Cultures which just happened to have graced humankind with algebraic mathematics, geometry and the science of astronomy. And, closer to home, an academic can deny Stalin's systematic genocidal rage against a people who sought the independence required to determine their own affairs, while the highest executive of that academic institution, shuns the responsibility that the moral imperative of leadership and intellectual honesty in academic affairs ought to engender.

How do we distinguish between a virus that occurs naturally in nature, from a virus that is bio-engineered, that is, the result of deliberate human manipulation of biological material?
The short answer is that bio-engineered viruses are produced by a technique known as viral splicing, and produce a virus in which the RNA structure is incomplete. And, the bio-engineered virus is readily identifiable because of its incomplete RNA structure.
In order for a bio-engineered virus lacking the full sequence of normal RNA to infect a human being, the bio-engineered virus has to hijack, as it were, its missing RNA from a naturally occurring virus with a complete RNA structure.
An example, Hepatitis D is not a natural virus, it is a bio-engineered virus. We know this, because Hepatitis D has incomplete RNA, a condition which does not arise naturally in the entire known universe of biological phenomenon.
Hepatitis D with its incomplete RNA is actually dependent on Hepatitis B to complete its own RNA structure.
Therefore, if a person has Hepatitis D, they also have Hepatitis B. It is impossible to have Hepatitis D without Hepatitis B, for Hepatitis D is dependent upon Hepatitis B's RNA structure to compensate for its incomplete RNA structure.
Hepatitis B is a natural, let us say, the original virus and Hepatitis D being artificially created by the viral splicing process.

What is also reasonable is to employ logical reasoning, and deduce, from the information available, what constitutes reality, that is, what we can know from the facts available and the actions that health authorities have taken, to wit:
Recently, American health authorities have suggested that those residing in the US should be vaccinated with two flu shots that attack the viruses of two different strains of Influenza viruses.
Cynics, have taken this fact and suggested that this is being done either to show the American people that something is being done to stop the epidemic, while others cynically propose an economic motive, that is, the value to big pharma of being able to clear out the very large stocks of flu vaccines that are held in reserve for either use within the US or to fulfill American obligations internationally. This would include or is in addition to the vaccine, the wrong-choice vaccine, that was erroneously anticipated to be effective in the current 2019/2020 flu season.
If the cynical view were accurate this would also involve the highly unethical practice of having millions of US citizens undergo unnecessary medical procedures and interventions. The cynics retort with the recent case of Missouri residents seeking family planning services having, by law, to undergo unnecessary medical procedures.
Returning to the realm of possible rational alternatives, however, the two vaccine regime would appear to lend credence to the possibility that the flu in the US is in fact a strain of Influenza type A, with its incomplete RNA, and the two vaccines will attack the two strains of Influenza virus that the type A strains need to hijack their RNA. And thus, by killing off the strains the Influenza A type requires to hijack RNA from, preventing the type A strain from infecting any more people.
This understanding is further supported by the fact that the Chinese are now vaccinating its population with a antiviral that was effective to treat a previous strain of the coronavirus, ostensibly for the same exacting reason, that is, to treat the coronavirus with its complete RNA structure to deprive the novel coronavirus with its incomplete RNA structure, a source of viral material from which to hijack the RNA that it lacks.
Either way, it can be stated with absolute moral certainty that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, as well as, the leader of the opposition, have been informed by the top medical and biological scientists in Canada and beyond of the true nature of both viruses.
To believe otherwise, would suggest that the decisions and actions that the prime minister has taken to date, in relation to the current disease outbreaks, including the commissioning of antiviral production work, as well as, the repatriation of Canadians who fell ill abroad, has been reckless, dangerous and irresponsible in the extreme, which his actions and decisions in relation to current disease outbreaks are not, clearly.
